4) An Exciting Weekend At Manor Adventure

Years 3&4 residential trip is to Manor Adventure where they have the opportunity to take part in 9 different, challenging activities.

There are many reasons for these residential trips and  outdoor activities, but the most important are:

    - the self esteem and self confidence the children get from trying something new, challenging  and outside their experience.

    - they are introduced to activities that they may want  to develop as a particular interest or hobby.

The activities include archery, climbing, abseiling, survival and caving.

The children have been telling Mr Brown their best memories...

I liked rock climbing because I felt really secure.

I enjoyed abseiling. At first I thought I couldn’t do it.  I looked down.  I was petrified.  Then I did it.

Max & Louis were brave in the cave. They stayed in even though they were a little scared.

The blind trail was fun. You really had to help each other.

Climbing was good.  Mr Brown promised me some chocolate if I got to the top.  But I was scared on the way down.

Survival was great.  We built shelters and rubbed ashes all over our faces.
